What is a healthy weight to gain during pregnancy?

How much weight a woman gains during pregnancy depends on many factors. A healthy amount of weight is between 20 and 35 pounds. If a woman is underweight when she gets pregnant, she may gain more and the opposite can happen if a woman is overweight, she may not gain as much. It is always important to discuss weight fluctuations with your healthcare provider during your pregnancy.
