What is IV vitamin therapy?

As a naturopathic physician practicing in B.C., IV vitamin therapy is a treatment I use on a daily basis. Not only are they great to give the immune system a boost, most patients find an increase in energy, reduction in muscle tension, and many more important benefits.  Some of the conditions IV's are commonly used for include fatigue, anxiety, hypertension (high blood pressure), Crohn’s or Colitis, post-surgical healing, cancer, and for general detoxification. IV’s are a great way to get high doses of nutrients that provide building blocks for hormones, neurotransmitters, and other systems in our bodies that bypass the digestive system and go straight into the bloodstream. There are numerous treatments that aim to boost your immune system to prevent a cold or flu, as your naturopathic doctor if IV’s are right for you.
