I am thrilled to be a part of Calmmother's mission to create a one-stop-shop for Moms and Moms-to-be -- it is timely and needed. As a lifestyle and wellness expert and nutrition coach it has become my personal mission to empower individuals to take control of their health, embrace their bodies and realize their individual ultimate life experience through powerful group programs and transformational individual consultations.
Prior to obtaining the professional training and certifications related to my career as a nutrition and life coaching, I struggled with chronic health issues for many years. Conventional medicine was only able to treat my symptoms and was unable to help me recover and live the life I knew I was meant to live. My illness became all encompassing, affecting not only my body, but my thoughts, moods, spirit and self-value. This began a journey of extensive learning and discovery. I have come to believe and understand that the human body possesses the knowledge to heal what ails it, no matter what form it takes, if given the right tools to do so.
I believe the food we eat creates the foundation to fuel, drive, motivate and heal. Through personal experience and in-depth study I have come to understand that optimal fueling of the body, along with a strong, healthy resilient digestive systems are the keys to achieving unimaginable levels of health and happiness.
I am an avid yoga practitioner and encourage development of the connection between the mind and the body. I have travelled throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa and enjoy what foreign cultures have to offer. I also love cooking and enjoy being creative in the kitchen. I am about to publish my first cookbook. I have also volunteered for Soup Sisters since its inception and take pride in being part of providing support for women and children escaping domestic abuse and family violence.
